Hi all,
I'm near desperate: Goertz do not sell more his fantastic silver alpha core .. 🙁

Janzen has those, "Royal silver", look them up. Mundorf also manufacturers silver foil coils.
Our of curiosity, what do you like better for the silver foils and how do they compare to copper foils? I have used copper foil and matched against a round wire coil of the same sq. mm couldn`t tell the difference ( except the price ). The foils ( Goertz 14AWG ) are still in my crossovers but next time would not spend extra over round wire ones.

IN our listening tests, SILVER ALWAYS MORE MUSICAL AND NATURAL OF COPPER.😎

Hi all,
I'm near desperate
no need to, ordinary wire wound copper is perfectly ok
and though cheap, they are even 'non ressonant high tech baked' 😛 ... and no need for crappy plastic or vax paper either 😀
Sorry, disagree,
all electronics modded with silver solid core cables ( magnetique shielded ),
all cables the same,
all our best speakers internally wired so...
complete chain...
only in this mode you'll appreciate big difference.😎
just us 2

in series ,
little inductors on mid and midhigh drivers only... 😉
BTW, as in Formula 1 , if you want 0,2 sec less / lap,
you must invest 3 times more!! 😱
cheers

The first principle is that you must not fool yourself... and you are the easiest person to fool.

Silver is highly malleable... You could take wound wire coils and drive over them with your truck.... Hence making them flat.
Just be sure to do it blind
Just be sure to do it blind
btw, why are there no wire wound silver coils ?
I'm quite sure wire wound is better than foil inductors ... maybe with exception of the bigger value inductance

I have seen Intertechnik cheap , high AWG , "silver" wirewound.
But the cost is so low that I presume it isn't more than an alloy sort of... 🙁

good speakers with good crossovers does not need any special components
but ok, its your money
Going by his tag line it is the money of his customers.
