To be fair, confirmation bias is a known scientific phenomenon, so would that not be a "technical" point? 😉

And of course, there's Congruence bias, and Bias blind spot, just to name a couple more ... 😉

Philosophical relativism at its worst.

Even if I play one track consecutively, it seems different so how can anyone gauge the difference between tracks when a piece of inconsequential piece of wire is changed?

Methinks that old phenomenon of imaginitus.

For lots of people, yes. Basically, if no difference can be heard, either the system is VERY well designed to minimize the effect and still operate optimally, or the system is too messed up. Anything in between, differences would generally be audible.

Which Neotech cables did you use? They make 4, NEP 3200, 3001, 3002 & 3003.

I tried and use NEP 3001, 3002 & 3003 – they all have the same impact on sound.
I didn't try the NEP 3200.

Which Oyaide plugs did you use? Oyaide makes too many to list here.

I tried all of them.
I use P037 - C037 ('silver'), P004 - C004 ('beryllium'), P046 - C046 ('palladium') and P079 - C079 ('gold').
I tried also P029 but I don't use them, they aren't as good as the others.

A also tried and use various Oyaide power sockets, of the same materials and coatings as their plugs.

Each model have its' own sonic signature.

On some power cords I use male plug of one model and IEC plug of another model, thus I get a mixture of the sonic signatures of both models.

I also noted that music playing in complete darkness sounds different than in full light. Does it mean that the cables I'm using are photosensitive?

most likely.....some folks take this seriously.....
how about if you ha a drink or two? more effect?

A curious one is if you play the track on your neighbour's system - this seems to have definite effect, for some reason ...

power cables anyone?

it even glows in the dark....

No, just interference from your fluorescent lamp. Wait for all the neighbors to turn off their stuffs at 2:00, you will hear better music.

Hehehe many people here really lacking in experience but think they know everything. It looks very smart isn't it, if you bash people who can differentiate sounds 😀

hey i can differentiate sounds too....but i don't go around telling people....

i DIY power cords instead.....

Of course. Better go around telling people you DIY power cords. Gain more respects than telling you can hear cables...😀

i listen to my speakers exclusively.....

With cables like that, no need for amp/cd player/speakers...
Just plug 'em and enjoy sound & vision 😀

They certainly seem to be, it's really quite sad when a grown man resorts to childish sarcasm. Troll sums him up nicely.

He gave me a good reason to check out the ignore function though 😉

Various kinds of attitudes and responses pop up every now and then in forums.
It seems to be a part of the human nature.

I completely ignore all irrelevant comments and responses, I just move onwards with what interests me.
