Newbie question:
I have a 25-0-25 transformer and would like to build the AX-11 MKII.
1). Can I use 24v relay on the protection board ?
2). Which point I should connect the 'pro' to ??
Thanks
Albert

matching input pair
Hi guys,
Is it OK if I just check the hfe of the input pair - BC546B for AX11 ??
Or anything I could do with my DDM.
Thanks
Albert

please advise, there is a difference between the schematic drawing lay out, which one is right?? at 100 pf schematic but the pcb is 22 pf.?? thank you

I suggest the datasheet.
I suggest the datasheet.
Wiljj78,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm asking how I can match them.
Is it ok if I just have their hfe MATCHED ? I have a datesheet, but it doesn't help matching.
Albert

Referring to fairchild datasheet it say's the complementary of bc546b is bc556b means their hfe matched and i always refer the datasheet as it always help.

Sorry I don't understand here. What I need is a pair bc546 as input, and I have to match them, right? I don't need no bc556 in this Ax11. Do I miss anything. Newbie naive question again.

Yes you don't need bc556 and Yes you need to match, to do this i suggest to take note the tex notification carefully, specially the type of fonts being used on the component to ensure they all same, meaning same manufacturer, same specs etc..

Willy,
Big Thanks.
I use your PCB for my built. There are couple spots I need your comment.
1. As of design, there is a 680 ohm series with 100uf to ground. A 2.2k is in your PCB instead.
2. The bottom bc546 with 180 ohm for b-, but is supposed to be 220 ohm on design.
Can I just simply follow the value on your PCB, the 180 ohm n 2.2 k.
Eh...how Big a fuse for the board?
Albert

Not sure if i got you right, can you note and post the schematic? fuse holder size is 5x20mm.

Willy,
Sorry my bad on without checking the latest on post #1954.
The fuse on board, since it's only for the front end, how Big I mean how many A or mA fuse I should put on.
Albert

Use 5A fuse as per PSU scheme.
AX-20 5 pairs
Hi Willy,
Nice one! Can you post the copper layout for toner transfer to the PCB?
Thanks.

Hi, this looks nice, but if I may put my 2 cents in: is it a good thing to have that ground all around the board in a closed loop that way? This is not a ground plane and creating a ground loop could cause some issues...
Sorry for butting in, but I thought I would bring this up, if this can be debated...

Hello, don't be sorry friend... I appreciate every comments to improve the design.
Would you mind to state what would be the possible issue of the currently design to improve??
Thanks for the inputs...
