I've been reading a great number of threads to try and 'do the right thing', but have become very confused regarding a number of issues related to my planned project and so I've joined the community to try and get some help / guidance.
With the humid weather conditions here, speaker enclosures in MDF are a non starter.
Also, the sourcing of drivers is problematic with very high international shipping rates from the likes of Parts Exchange and the potential for 40% duty charged upon entry into the Kingdom. This really limits my selection to those carried by international component suppliers such as Element 14 and RS.
I'm only looking at a budget setup, but I think anything will be better than using the drivers that I currently have which now comprise more silicon than original rubber.
Anyhow, looking forward to discussing the options available.

I am planning to build a system with a 'Sure' TDA7492 amplifier and full range drivers initially and to then look at an alternative setup with 2 way enclosures.
Which would it be best to start a thread in?

I've yet to find online mail order suppliers in Thailand other than RS or Element14 and Bangkok is a 14 hour bus ride each way from my house.
Uhhh.... good question! Since you know what amp you want to build, maybe start with questions about the speakers and go from there.
Guess it doesn't really matter - as long as you get started. 😀
