Hi all!
Which is a direct replacement for tube ecc85?
I need a good buffer (schematic) with the lead tube for my CD player.
thank you!

Ok, this tube ecc85 is not for the preamp or buffer!?
Give a good schematic tube/valve buffer with ECC83.
thank you!

You already have one- didn't you post pictures, schematics, and gobs of praise for the sound? Or is this really an endless loop?

Yes I have, because I want to compare with other tube preamp (schematic)!?😕😉
There is a theorem in computer science which says that every program eventually either terminates or goes into an endless loop. Gost22 has not terminated.
What makes the ECC85 unfit for Audio ? , I use it in my preamp with very good results , and I believe it is more linear than ECC81 .Ok, this tube ecc85 is not for the preamp or buffer!?

ECC85 was designed as purpose-built VHF osc and RF amp, See here--
ECC85 @ The National Valve Museum
--Thats not to say it cant be used for different purposes, it wasn't designed specifically for audio, so items such as hum rejection and noise were not so critical in its design--unlike some other dual-triodes that were designed with Audio in mind.....
--personally, I prefer the mazda 6/30l2 as a good general purpose triode, better for pre-amplification than the 85!

The same goes for ECC88 and many other tubes , which if used in audio circuits will give good results too , IMHO most of the tubes can be used in audio circuit , in my new preamp I use PCF200 tubes , you can see here ( for the ECC85 too ) http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/tubes-valves/200823-my-new-circlotron-otl-tube-power-amp-10.html ,
although those tubes intended for use in television circuits as limiter , noise detector ...
