He answered several of my emails back when I had very little knowledge of anything on a DIY level. In other words, I probably did not deserve such attention, but he went beyond the call and listed out many important processes to help a new company build an assembly line and how to arrange parts, people, and how to route components for testing and packaging etc. among other important ideas.
That wonderful highly detailed time consuming email is printed out and hanging on my shop wall for all to see, mainly us! I consider myself very lucky indeed. The man is one of the very special people in this business that gives to others - most of the time for little or nothing!
I now own a nice little boutique ultra high end audio company, but I am still only the marketing end of the company which has a great tech/design person on the other end. We are transferring our manufacturing methods from point to point to PC board due to increased sales and a desire to have our products as close to exactly the same as possible. And for better QC purposes.
Of course the ultra high end of our products will always be point to point, but those sell very slowly due to their price. We were hoping that someone as talented and knowledgeable as John could supply our growing concern with quality custom PC boards, but alas the man is swamped with life.
Anyone interested in the contract or helping us get to the best quality DOMESTIC suppliers please let me know. We are only interested in the absolute best quality components possible and prefer to use as many US made parts as possible. It may get to be a large order someday. Hopefully!
And again...... Thank You John!!! Thou art a Golden Audio God with a Golden Heart!!
