quick question, will the rear of a subwoofer magnet (TB W6-1139) cause any problems being 3cm from an open back plate amp, ie power supply etc? (Dayton 2.1 plate amp)

I think they call that forced air cooling in marketing speak. 😛
IMO if the components in the area near the pole vent are not running hot it should not pose any harm to the sub beyond the normal increased ambient temperature in the enclosure caused by the amp.

here is the plate amp in question Dayton Audio MCA2250E 2.1 Channel Class D Amplifier
more the magnetic field harming the performance of the amp, but u dont see any issues? The back of the magnet wd be at the centre point, about 3-4cm from the nearest components on the board
I guess the instructions wd have a guideline and i cant see anything

The driver you have selected is inherently self shielded= low flux leakage.
its the ferrite version I'm wanting to use not the neo one (half the price), sorry, half asleep, shd have posted the full model number
