• WARNING: Tube/Valve amplifiers use potentially LETHAL HIGH VOLTAGES.
Building, troubleshooting and testing of these amplifiers should only be

Oatley Electronics of Australia is about to release the K272B HP kit based on the JAN6418 tube. I got an early prototype and assembled it. Harmonically rich sounding and better than a CMoy (I think).

This is the Mono Amplifier that I built for my friend Brian Kim. This is the very first SE amp of Hi Fi tube amp of his collection. It employs Lundahl's LL1623AM amorphous core output transformer, and LL1638 double choke filtering for the B+. Driver is with 7N7 tube and each stage with separate RC B+ filtering.
Awesome looks like a lot of premium parts in that one :). How to you use the 7n7? 2 gain stages? or gain stage and cathode follower?

I am thrilled to finally post my first tube amp project. Thanks to all who have gone before me to offer insight and inspiration. Based on Bruce Rozenblit's patent (published in Audio Reality). 120w per channel. Sound is transparent, light and effortless with tons of deep bass. I am very happy with the result.

My C3G spud headphone amplifier is finally finished and playing music.

- C3G triode wired running at 145V / 15mA
- Cathode bias with tightly matched Morganite resistors and BG N bypass caps
- (yes, there is still people preferring a conventional setup over LED bias :whacko:, but only when Black Gates are used)
- Salas SSHV2 with LC prefilter
- DC heaters
- Lundahl LL1689 wired 18:1
- custom wound toroid mounted on top
- all the guts underneath

Absolutely dead silent (Pitch Black background...;) ).

What headphones do you use?
