Thought I'd throw in my brother's 6sn7/300B P-P monoblock that is finally becoming a reality. It was built in partnership with an old friend of his. Chas(my brother) was responsible for the layout and construction of the chassis(machining, veneering, etc.,), while Mike designed and prototyped the circuit.

It's made of polished aluminum plate and veneered mdf, and has hundreds of hours put into the machining, etc., (for all four units). The transformer cover is fiberglass that was laminated over a mold and will have artwork applied.

Not your everyday amp.🙂
That has got be one of the best looking amps I've ever seen, be it diy or production model. Great design

It's art! A slight blur creates an aura of mystique. I use it all the time, because it also hides the imperfections of my chassis & finish work! :violin:

Haha, you got me. No flash, that sucker is unforgiving. Long exposure and no tripod. Never crossed my mind to take a good picture BTW. The background is awful.

faux rust finish throughout.
Yeah, I'm into that. Actually, it's oil paint on a metal chassis. There's some red too... a touch here and there. The finish looks great, the amp is junk though.

* Another example how to maximize distortion to make things look good.

Well, it's a basement so not much light and, as I said before, the flash from this camera is no good. Anyway, here's something slightly better. Needless to say the ring of diamonds is a joke, actually the whole amp is a bit of a joke. My serious amps are upstairs.
