How to build a transconductance tester for small driver tubes?

I was wondering if I can convert one of my amps into a tube tester for small driver tubes. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Take a look at this design.. I'm planning on getting one in the near future if the software is compatible with at least one of the windoz boxes I have on hand..

Here: The uTracer, a miniature Tube Curve Tracer / Tester.

The software is compatible with windows xp, and windows 7, and I think also windows vista. I didn't test on windows 8. You do need a serial port, but you can also use an usb to serial convertor, see the text on the website.

One thing I wonder is if I can lower the plate resistance of a 26 at higher current for an all-DHT project. The datasheets don't run the current very high.
