icepower "Like" 70v PA amp

Hello,

I am using some IcePower amps for backyard and mobile audio which works great.

I am looking for a amplifier similar to the IcePower amps (everything on one board) that can drive 70v PA speakers. This way I can daisy chain speakers in a backyard making the install much easier.

Does anyone know of a amp board or module that does 70v speaker output?

Most 70V line amplifiers i've seen have been regular 4-16ohm audio amplifiers with a impedance matching transformer on trhe output, converting the regular 4-16ohm nominal load to a 70V line.

I'm no expert in this area but I thought it was 100 volt, like this one

The problem with step-up OPTs is that any dc offset on the class-D amp can cause excessive dc currents to flow in the primary, possibly giving asymetrical saturation on the audio signal.

Direct-drive (no OPT) 70V and 100V output PA amps exist, with a bridged output stage (I design them for my employer), but I don't know of any modules on the open market.

The one I link to is without output transformer, but you have to buy 10 pcs. But Sinewave/authxl might be friendly to diyaudio member and sell less.

Perfect, that's what I was looking for. I wish it had a little lower THD but it has a lot of power.
