Response is gr8...i tested it with /-40....output is 200watts....sound is too clear....powered it with small heatsink...only little heat....but bass is hard....good thing....for those who dont get the IR chips and required material at there place....and its very simple....and surely will work up at first time....dead time should be set as per the device used....
made this with regular transistors and watever i got from my local suppliers.....based on philips UCD...output coil is behind the board not seen in pic....switching freq is 285khz
pls post the schematic
pls post the schematic
The schema is same as philips no alteration in it.....it works good I used irf640b....get warm bit faster but i'm glad to hear it....there no complex terms like IR2110 amp....so I love this one...i'll also be trying IRS2092...i ordered a board from ebay...i'll be getting it by two days... .will update you what special it has
Stewin can you tell me how will you connect 4 pairs of IRF250N to this amp....by adding an extra buffer or just putting resistor..
i plan to use totem pole like the below schema. i haven't managed to include overcurrent protect but it has dc , ac delay and overtemp protection.

On philips said they said the amp switches at 400khz but when I tried to set it on that freq it showed short heating the fets...and why you need to set the freq at 250???
i even wanted to go slower in order to use irfp250/260n with /-85vlts
At what voltage this design could be used max with no issues of smoking it up??? And if I use 4 pairs of irf640 how much output can it give at \-60 volts??? ...and can this design be stable at 2ohms
the voltage i have tried with no issues is +/-56vlts but i am on my way to drive it with +/-80vlts .
irf640 are nice but in my experience they fail when pushed hard at lower impedance e.g 4ohms ,8ohms . but i think i have a lot of desgin to do in order to make this amp work the way i want.

Yes they get hot when driven on 4ohm load....which fets do you think I should use....fast and working gr8 with lower impedance???
try irfb series. class d from ru has used irfb23n15 at+/-60vlts in discreet class d with success

Ok....can any series with xxnxx will do the job or I have to use irfb series only???
I got my irs2092 board from sure electronics....its sounds gr8.....and i'm suprised by its response....i have tested it on 50 volts 8ohms load....output was heavy....no heating at all...the output fets were not tightened and till they were just a little warm after playing at full load for half an hour
i used106-2 iron powder material with 22uh rating,,.....have u tried class d before?????????/Hi! I like to build it.
Can you give us details of the output rf coil??
thks!!
