My freind Malcolm is finally buying a computer . He gave me a list of things he would not do . I said don't be daft that's the fun of it . It's TV where we are the stars . He says his e-mail address will be NAP250 , I suspect it's taken ?

Someone said thought is just one of mans waste products .

Yes it puts a different perspective on it...its an interesting idea.
I guess it depends on what angle the system is at with the sun moving.

I guess the sun is moving so the idea of a static system has to be limited.
I find it hard to see how you can disagree its either a spiral or loops..

I was saying to my friend if number patterns exist in the Lottery we only see them when it is too late . I said I could much more easily prove the existence of God than what she wanted . She is an atheist so that should have been enough , it wasn't . I asked her to get me to design something useful instead ( not hi fi ) .

Dorking said ( I believe ) certain debates are like playing chess against pigeons . They knock the pieces over s..t on the board and then claim to other pigeons that they won .

It looks a little unlikely . Dark matter again only more so ?

I saw a You-tube thing talking about Carbon 7 ( secret of secrets ) . As far as I know it doesn't exist . Even 8 is a bit short lived to be of interest .

The only thing I did like is the voice spoke of how the universe was only 2 dimensional at first , time being the second . As it cooled other dimensions emerged . The assertion was a 5 th was emerging now or soon ( no idea if asking ) .

No really, this is the most basic concept of the theory of relativity, and physics in general.

Consider the following:

You are travelling on the QM2, you're in the middle of the Atlantic and seas are calm. The ship is chugging along at a constant speed of 30 knots.

You and a friend want to play table tennis. The table is oriented so that one side points to the bow, and one to the stern.

Say you're playing from the stern side. When you serve, do you think that you have to take into account that the ship is moving at 30 knots forward, meaning you have to hit the ball harder than you would if you were stationary? No. Conversely, if you play from the bow side, would your serve gain extra speed from the speed the boat already has? Again, the answer is no.

It's the same in physics. If you have a rocketship that moves at near the speed of light, and you microwave your TV dinner, are you worried that the photons will all get dragged to one side of the microwave? I think you can answer that. 😉
