Many times the amp blows because the 8" speaker is also blown. Check the speakers carefully and make sure the voice coil is not rubbing against the magnet.

The thing is, this is actually an acoustic guitar amplifier.
It's not made for blasting electric guitar.
It sounds cool, but the speaker is not made to take the abuse.
So, electric guitar use other amp. It sounds great for acoustic, vocals...
