x250 vs. x250.5:
mosfet vs . tl431 bias gene
4 vs. 5 outputs per quadrant
probably different UGS generation
for 350 - I'm somewhat unsure - there is old variant - mosfet non UGS FE , 6 pcs outs per quadrant , then possibly variant with UGS (mosfet bias gene , dunno for number of outputs)
350.5 - UGS , mosfet bias gene , 6 outputs per quadrant
so , Pa is your man for definitive answers

Simply ask Papa what are the possible improvements for your amp. He will advise you in deceptively simple language and you will know exactly what you can hope to achieve. He is a master of language...nothing is hidden or unclear. How he achieves that completeness of transmitting his message with such clarity and low word count is an exceptionally well honed skill.😉

The old line from the recently late "Rambling Jack Elliot" was;
"take it easy, but take it"
🙂
same as for best way of repairing da amp :
"well , you need to take the amp .......... and then repair it . "

(moi often repairing amps by phone .......... there is enough stories for 5 books ; repairing things via Skype vid from Serbia to SF is piece of cake )

If "C3" is an "eat me" Signal what would c2c get ya?
This could explain a lot of Dummy stuff that ya see going around.....😉

Fortunately for me all of my brain cells are still very active. Unfortunately for me I only have two that are still functional......

Just interested in fixing up the front end, if I decide to proceed with this idea.

That's half a brain cell more than me.
Be greatful for what you got.

You could book a flight to Miami, score some LSD, and eat someone else's cells.

could split load pahse inverter be used to bias output instead of TL431?

Nah - that's already been dun......

Not with complementary devices in the output.
The whole of the output stage would have to be constructed from the same device type, ie. all N(PN) or all P(NP).
JLH, DUH! Another moment of ignorance. As if i only have moments🙄Not with complementary devices in the output.

Gyuri - Dachshunds are nice doggy's to have around. Here is one giving a kitty a ride home after he passed out in the alleyway behind the local tavern. I'm nut sure if the kitty wuz out having "malts" with Brian but reportedly he commented that part of the problem was caused because he had been drinking on an empty stomach...... 😀😀😀
I like it, thanks.🙂
