is SuperA same as class A?

Hello all,

I got a vintage JVC A-X1 amplifier. It is 2x31W on paper. The heat sink is nowere near the size of a 60W class A amplifier that i see here on this forum.
My question since I have no schematic, is this a class A amplifier or AB?

It s an non switching AB class amp.
It has a circuit wich keep the output devices always in conduction ,
hence the super A branding.

Despite its relatively low power it s one of the best commercial
amp along with his higher powered brothers.

To my knowledge , there s very few class A amps that can hold
the comparison.

not better than AB, just ClassAB done in a slightly different way.
