Thanks for the welcome, Cal.
I am a complete novice and have no experience. All I have are ideas for a unit I would like to build. Right now, I am trying to gain knowledge and look around for existing schematics that can be incorporated to/modified for my use.
I'm giving myself two years to work up a plan while simultaneously gaining skills and knowledge by completing easier projects and hopefully learning to figure out some stuff on my own.
I'll probably be laying low for awhile until I am confident that I won't be asking repeat stupid questions and wasting peoples' time. I'll mostly be using the search function and building kit projects (pedals, EQs, etc.).
If you know of resources and kits for a complete beginner, they would certainly be helpful..

No amps for me right now. I'm actually looking to build a two-channel acoustic guitar preamp/EQ/DI with a blender. I'll be taking a pickup and mic out of my guitars, EQing them separately, then blending to a mono DI out for the FOH guys.
I am certainly interested in home and pro audio speakers, as well. However, they are not at the top of my list at the moment.
