When it comes to lytics it's nice to know you have a fresh intact part.
Heat would be a concern but give it a try. I don't know if the "snap-ins" are more sensitive or not to heat.
Clean the parts well first to minimize soldering time. Acid flux would do it, but would have to be completely cleaned afterwards.

do you think it would be a bad idea to clean it completely and solder on a 8/32 nut to use it with a cut down machine screw?
It depends on what the connector pole is made from ?
You might be able to drill and tap the pole piece.
I'd replace it personally. If it's aesthitically important then gut it and use the body as a cover for the replacement part.

Not that important just was trying to save it is all..... they were given to me so i don"t know who makes it
