"1/2 way down the duct"....brain freeze; perfecly clear now.
Good seal...no problem, just need to head in the right direction.
I think cutting 1 (or 2), 4" holes in the front will work - for the two exisiting boxes.

I'll cut some holes and disks, rabbit cut each, so they interlock; screw them in like a speaker.
A hole/disk in the bottom is a option.
I can pick up light "pillow" materail at the craft store....I was there to buy felt for the Fonkens.

New Pic
The access in the front panel idea was perfect, not hard to do and the poly fit fine. I added 10oz poly in one and it made some difference, used 20oz in the next and it sounded very, very, nice.
Even hooked it back up the stereo amp and all the mid range problems vanished. From here I can go back and add poly to the first one. I do find a piece of 1/2" foam right below the woofers makes a huge difference also. [not shown in photo]
btw, stopped by a craft store, bought Mountain Mist Polyester for $5.00 for 2 lbs. It rolled out nice, also a perfect fit, easy to do/add; no blocking needed.
Thanks to all for the plans and counsel!!
Awesome!

I have followed this thread with great interest. Re the design of the box, Stromberg Carlson (Australia) made a big fuss about their special " Acoustic Labyrinth" with an 8" speaker. This was around 1936. Only trouble was, it raised the resonant point of the speaker. Perhaps this is first practical use of this technique?
BTW, Stromberg approach, although felt lined dividers, had the dividers only about an inch apart.

Update
I found a scale so I now I can measure fill accurately.
.46lb (7.5oz) was a little light as far as I could tell and 9.7oz was a bit much; it didn't chug as much as I though it should. Ended up with 9.0oz, that seems to work nicely.
Started a 3rd today box, going with the 9oz.

Regards,
I asked the thread be renamed, there is some great info on here [may not be possible].
A very low cost, not hard to build introduction to a TH build, and it sounds great!

Hi ODougbo,
I know its easier to type TH than T-TQWT, do you have any other reason for insisting to call it by the wrong name? 🙂
