I have used the Deltalite 2510 II in a 2-way loudspeaker with the Ciare 1.38 TW horn tweeter. Box size about 2 cu. ft. tuned to 49Hz. It takes a while to break in the 2510s driven by my SE amp, but the results are worth it. Plenty of bass response for me. You will need a sub woofer for extreme low content, but for music I'm really happy.
I can provide details as to the exact configuration & crossover network if there is interest.

Thanks, your opinion has encouraged me to go ahead and build. I will follow the XO plans and use the same components as given in the techtalk thread. The response of this combo is probably the smoothest I've seen.
My concern was bass performance and you have answered that for me.

Bass response is dependent of xover. If he has more than 1.25mH on midbas there is possibility that he will have more bass and less sensitive loudspeakers than you will, with same midbass.

Scitizen.
Can you pm/ email me for detail

Sorry about that. Ed LaFontaine was just comparing the two... maybe with a miracle and a small "optimized" box.@ bjorno : thanks for that info.
Space constraints preclude me from using a 12" driver so discussing the 2512 unfortunately does not help my decision with the 2510...
I did not get "satisfying bass" from the 2512 in an optimized box. I would expect that a 2510 in an undersized box will leave you longing for those subs...
Yes, that's a problem Charles will have balancing his total frequency output with the alignment desired (and size of enclosure) together with the (BSC) design or tunning of the lower end of the xover.😎Bass response is dependent of xover. XO for the Deltalite 2510 and Ciare tweeter
Hi Scott17, I would be interested in seeing your crossover design. I just got a pair of these woofers, and it sounds like that would be a good project to try. I'll probably do it as a tower with a false lower depending on how many cubic feet of space I need for the design. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Jim
