does sentence "Fire in the hole !! " rings a bell ?![]()
Yes..and no 🙂
In case of the amp Korting A-300, its seems that the only good parts would be the case itself 🙂 and perhaps the trannie.
The speakers..uhm...

spks , in fact , are pretty decent for that time ; with little work on xover , you can have nice pair of spks for your bedroom ; bass reminds me on ELAC , olde sweet sounding drivers
amp - dunno .... that model doesn't ring a bell , except that most probably is some Japanese OEM specimen
amp....
Duh, made either in southern Germany, or Slovenia.
(in both cases, likely manufactured under Yugoslavian government ownership)
nope Bubba
I saw these dreks more than you can imagine
Far East OEM for German reseller
Made in Korea is written on xformer , and entire guts is mid 80 Far East production
my bad when I wrote "Japanese"

I can read, 1945, made in Korea.
Add last button finish, and it's made in Germany.
(as a kid, i enjoyed reading mail order catalogs for hours, bit strange maybe. still recall the Körting junk)
Wooha, breaking news : ModZee repaired chimpy amps.

Oh, I owe you some more pics, but maybe latter, gotta do something else right now....
It seems to have been made in Slovenia (Gorenje- Korting), and the amp itself is based on STK 463 chip (one channel is dead).

You should hope for the other channel to die ASAP... 🙄... based on STK 463 chip (one channel is dead).
+30 years after it's birth (1979), all STK463 should be tarred and feathered, then burnt at the stake.

Woof - woof. I have not done any barking for awhile around here - so just thought I would check in real quick. I have been busy with the holidays and shopping (well SWMBO was spending all of the $$$ of course) etc. I hope that everyone is doing well!!!

Since you like it so much, here's more 😀
The idea it to take it out altogether. Use only the transformer and the heatsink. Just had a look in the drawer and found a pair of TDA 2030a chips. Provided they could stand the voltage, they may do for a sort-of-a-GC...
