Now we haven't 50ASX2 module.
Recently, we are planning to develop RCA->XLR converter for 125ASX2, maybe also for 50ASX2(BTL version), then add this RCA->XLR converter as a option of our case.
It seems there is a little difference between 50ASX2 and 125ASX2, especially the onboard DC output. So we might develop two different converter for both modules. We are still doing research...

Now, all first version of DIY kits in stock were already sold out. As all of you knew, the first edition of diy-suite case run as following two modes:

I'm looking forward to modding my current 125asx2 kit to a mono block and ordering a 2nd amp kit for the other mono channel once these are available in 2012!
I Can't wait to see the pictures and understand how the rca to XLR board allows this amp to work in BTL mode.

HELP Requested
I'm finally getting around to putting the amps together but want to do things a little differently.
I want to install a MiniDSP unit in the case that requires 12VDC 200mA to power it, the Icepower module has a 24V+/- 250mA unregulated Aux supply.
My questions are;
Can I use a regulator like this:
to bring the voltage down to 12V, straight off the 24V+ supply?
Is the MiniDSP a capacitive load? As the Icepower data sheet talks about needing to pay special attention if connecting capacitive loads to the Aux supply, & I dont know a great deal about that sort of thing🙂

If you have the Jaycar regulator connected to the 24V supply, it does not matter what kind of load the miniDSP is, as only the regulator will see that load. In this scenario, the potential capacitive load will be from the regulator cct itself. If the cct has caps across the input, then you will have your capacitive load. You will need to have a resistor (depends on capacitive load) in series to the reg cct.
Also, if you drain 200mA at 12V from the regulator, you will be dropping 12V at 200mA (about 2.5W) in the regulator itself, requiring extra heatsinking no doubt.

Does anyone know how to wire the enable pin?
I assume the AC Mains In, can be taken straight to the module & the enable pin is used to turn the unit on and off, Is that Right?
I am setting up the amp module with a MiniDSP in the same case, what I am trying to do is use a switching unit to ensure the units turn on and off in the right order. If I can use the enable pin to turn the unit on & off my setup should work, I just don't know how the enable pin should be wired, my guess is if you short it to earth it will switch off?

If the enable pin is pulled low (0V), the amplifier will be disabled. See page 18/29 in datasheet.

I have been reading info on Wiki, where a 2k to 5k resistor is used in the line to earth to pull the voltage to 0v is the resistor mandatory?

If you put a resistor inline, then there will be a voltage drop across it, so it won't be pulled down completely to 0V. There is already a 100 ohm resistor inline with that pin. The data sheet doesnt say anything about requiring another resistor.
