People argue lateral and vertical. I don't think you can say one is necessarily
better than the other. They are different in term of their advantages, that's all.
I just bought a thousand pairs of a new lateral part purely for the temperature
coefficient.

I consider XA30.5 very fine power amp and do not plan any upgrade ever unless they come up with better one 🙂
The same here.
naah .......
XA30.5 is sissy amp
Papa is using XA60.5 , bridged .
(Mighty ZM will be happy with XA10.5

Or you can have two XA30.5 as I do 😀
Some days they work for my 802D's (passive biamp), most of time just one XA30.5 does for the B&W and the other goes downstairs for my Merlin monitors...
And compared to A3 (one around too 😱 ) yes they are quite more powerful 😎

I'm seriously thinking about making one XA10.5 for my self ;
but special iteration with negative wattage .... called XA-10.5

I cannot… I don't have the money for it… but most important, with my present speakers (which I'm not going to replace, even if I'll win the lottery), there is no need for more power. This is the first amp, out of quite a few that honored my setup, that has absolute control over the speakers. And it sounds so good that I ask for nothing more. (Unless Papa will come out with something better, which I'd be able to afford).

😀Found the real world counterparts IRF240 and IRF9240 and will now give them a very negative treatment and sent them to you in two magnetic fields in a special USPS car............. 😀
