THD won't tell you too much. Rather look at F2, F3, F4, F5 individually. Compare to measurements on zaphaudio.com .
I think -40 is the number. I know design software packages (soundeasy) set a "red line" on -40 to indicate some sort of acceptance level. I really like how soundeasy shows distortion vs HOLM. HOLM does not show each Fundamental separately (on one measurement window), Sound Easy does.

Zaph's numbers won't mean much to me because they were measured differently.
I just didn't know what 'good' HI number were.
I don't know what test software Zaph uses, but his distortion plots have a red line at -40 FWIW

With HOLM, you can still select each fundamental and look at them. We can use A,B and C measurement windows to compare 3 fundametals.
That's what I usually do.I wish there were more windows though, like 5 minimum.Very useful for doing on and off axis measuring.
Yeah, I wish the author or company would start updating HOLM again. I would have paid $$$ for it too!! Its just an amazingly simple measurement tool. There are some "simple additions" that would improve it.

agree! 🙂 I export and import into speaker workshop when I want to display more than three curves on the same graph 🙂

Use the free version of Praxis. You can import a fairly large number of measurements exported from other packages, though I'm not sure of the upper limit. Here's an example with six:
It's in a resizable window with fully scalable axes, so you can present the information however you care to do it. You can turn descriptions on and off as well.

I'm aware of that site 🙂 I meant more, see how a beginner goes about it. I've found with a tweeter like that, I can put a high pass in around 700hz or so, and the gating isn't necessary. Getting good tweeter measurements is way easier. Do the experts find this?
