can i use 1000 uf electrolytic capacitors in this chip amp or do they have to be polypropelene or some other sought????????? acording to has anyone made this small 5 watt amp chip here before, this is my first attempt at a chip amp so all of your thoughts will be needed, according to the layout on there data sheet???

How big is your wallet? 😀 Seriously - polypropylene or film types are always better, but 1000 uF would be huge, expensive, and probably not make much of a difference on a 5 watt amplifier. Short answer, use the electrolytics. Good luck
You can do without the 1000uF completely if you feed the ground side of your speakers from a 'virtual ground' generated by another amplifier. Or just go bridged if the speaker impedance is not too low.
thanks just needed to confirm that everyone else was using electrolytic capacitors as most cannot afford and most fancy types of audio caps are not available at a normal price . i am guessing that the manufacturer of these chip amps some 20 odd years ago used electrolytic capacitors in the first place but they do not specify what ones they used?. here is a photo of the caps on the completed circuit sold in kit form ,they do look like electrolytic caps.How big is your wallet? 😀 Seriously - polypropylene or film types are always better, but 1000 uF would be huge, expensive, and probably not make much of a difference on a 5 watt amplifier.
