Gentlemen,
Good grief! You make me realize, again, the meaning of "be careful what you wish for".
What a beast of an enclosure, just for an 8 inch driver.
Thank you so much for the information. I'll need to search for downsized drivers so I can have this enclosure design I lust for. I'll think of the smaller size as a petite version.

Either the Demetris or the JE Labs style OB will be made for the FR8.

Checked all 4 copies they all do the same. Attached are 2 pre-formula calculators. 1 that is zilla's i think which has a static diagram and a height adjustment that compensates for the bend, and one i started but didn't finished -- it generates an actual diagram

Both are unlocked, maybe someone can add the formula to generate inputs and make a new, working BIB calc.

Gentlemen,
My mind is made up. Don't confuse me with the facts! ;-) (Unless I'm off base)
The Hemptone FR8's will get "Aln Dual Column Air Couplers for Mark Audio A12".
Their size is much more to my liking.

The Terry Cain tall transmission line TQWT enclosures will be made, in the not too distant future, for a pair of Fostex FE103E's

My deep appreciation to all concerned. This is a great refuge of sanity in the middle of online anarchy.

Now, back to troubleshooting the wiring on my newly completed Welbourne 2A3 amps.

If I understand you correctly, you are saying you will build the Aln box for the Hemptones? Don't expect it to work very well; that cabinet was designed for the Alpair 12, which has completely different properties. The Hemptones would need a substantially larger box, of similar proportions to the BIB GM describes above.

GM, Dave,

I tried the xls file - column z accepts data. I am running my desktop at 1920 x 1200 - if you are running at lower resolution then you will have to pan towards right.

I filled up all the rows, including driver make and model.

Frank, you have committed the single biggest sin that novices make. You bought a pair of drivers and now you are looking for a box to put them in. OK, now you have found a box you like, but behold -- the drivers simply won't work in it. You have to do this the other way around. Find a box you like, THEN find drivers that will work in that box. But indeed, usually, the box was custom designed for a specific driver, and you really need to use the driver/box combo as designed.

Since it appears that you cannot stand the size of the box that the FR8's require, your only real choice is to sell the drivers and start over.

Hi GM, attached is what I get, using Gnumeric on Linux.

Here is the same version, ported to Windows: http://people.gnome.org/~mortenw/gnumeric/gnumeric-1.10.14-20110324.exe

May I ask which spreadsheet(s) and version(s) you've tried?

P.S. In Gnumeric, to unlock something, click Edit > Sheet > Manage Sheets, and click on the padlock icon. (I hardly think this is an ethical problem considering that it's GM's own math.)

Bob Brines,
Guilty as charged, Your Honor.
At least I have the JE Labs OB (still looking for dimensions), or the 20 liter Demetri to fall back on.
If there are other reasonable sized FR8 enclosures, I'd like to know about them.

Greets!

17.6 mb! I assume this is a program.

I've tried every BIB calculator I've seen as well as mine of course 😉.
