Hello everyone! I am so excited that I found a forum that is so informative in regards to enclosure design. I am very intrigued by the sheer overload of information there is here regarding complex enclosures (my main interest), and most certainly I am humbled by being here. I look forward to learning from all of you, and I thank you for having me!

Thanks guys. And yes, very fun. A lot to absorb still... but fun!

Nah - juz give it about 5 years to sink in and then it all starts to make a little bit of sense. THEN - juz about when you think you have it figured out - well it's time to build something and realize ya know about 2% of what you actually need to know. What to do - what to do????? Study moooooooooooore or juz dive in and see what happens???? I would suggest starting out with a proven design that you think will best match up with your listening desires - there are a lot of proven designs around to start with - of almost any style. Later on you can try getting creative with something of your own simply because I think it's kinda fun to mess around - but that's just me.

The most important lesson before starting out - define what you are after - and what you can afford. That will help keep things from "growing" to unmanageable size and expense. Second most important lesson - have fun while you are playing around. 😎

Some of the OB (Open Baffle) designs are very nice and also affordable - and the "Econwave" build is a nice and easy low cost way to get going too. Planet 10 (Dave) has some very sweet single driver designs.

Thanks a ton! I'm definitely into creating my own designs (or trying to lol), and single driver designs are among my fav. Good info!
