The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

Oh yes, I've seen pictures from the US east coast on TV 😱.
I very much hope you keep well over there.

1) The kids are alright
2) Some body parts get smaller when it's cold!!! Like dis doggies nosey
3) Dis is close to where Pano lives
4) We are good here is Nashville - not to bad - but staying off roads anyway.

It's been very quite around here - I just figured that everyone was in church - or getting over their Christmas eggnog hangovers.

Crazy to see weather like that in Nashville. Here in Vermont, we expect these things. It is 5°f (-15°c) windy and snowing here. Not too fun to be clearing the driveway, which I just finished. But it is nice to come in and listen to a bit of music with the F4's heating the room and the freshly built Impasse adding the tube glow to it all. I'll take the glow of tubes over the glow of a fire any time.:hot:

I know, I know I live in Canada, but on the west coast the weather is controlled by the ocean so we get a lot of 5 - 10 degrees and rain. But sometimes like Jan '09 we get stuff like this:

The first is my street and the second is the pile beside the driveway.

Last year nadda.

Crazy to see weather like that in Nashville.

Nah - Nashville only got maybe an inch or two and easily handled. Most of the bad stuff was more easterly of us - and then things moved northwards up the coast. NY and thereabouts caught the really heavy stuff.

I lived in Springfield Mass when I worked for DEC and know the drill when it comes to running a show blower - snow shovel, etc. Moved outta there ASAP!!!

Yeah, but Burlington VT is a great little city. Way better than it has population to be. That is the beauty of it. The cold and snow keep the weak ones away. Without the snow, I am convinced it would be the size of Seattle. It's got great biking trails, great skiing, Lake Champlain for boating, swimming, fishing etc. Damn good music scene, world class restaurants. And it's 20 below zero for about 2 weeks a year. That 2 weeks keeps it small which is part of what makes it great. I guess I am a bit biased though..😀

I can't compete ...
In Vienna we have not an half ounce of snow ... Sunny days, not too cold (about 0°C in shadow - but who wants to stay in shadow under these circumstances ...)
The city is very calm and fabulously silent (the idiots are all out of town ...)
I can't complain, sorry 😀

J😛lease stop, me already drooling on my keyboard again...

Me having had just Luftganza filled with basic farce aux marrons
Preceded from galantine of the same and followed by Brandteig Krapfen (to stay modest) after the cheese...
Nothing to write home about ...
My felicitations ...

PS : I have always problem to get the magrets properly juicy ... Probably a matter of the hot?
