Hey guys, I'm planning a compact two-way... Im seeking a good woofer that will take cross over about 1,2khz, with high sensitivity and and as much bass as possible at the same time. I have looked at all the famous brands and they all show the same, sensitivity above 98db means less bass.
I currently own a pair of 2204H which seem to be a very good compromise. Decent sensitivity, pretty high qts, resaonably low FS.

But since I'm buying my wave guides from Poland, I discoverd this driver:
GDN-30-400-8-SE - Kino domowe, g?o?niki, kolumny - STX polski producent
The specs on this one is absolutely amazing? Average 100db sensitivity from 100-3khz, extreemely smoot curve, FS = 41, and Qts 0,37?! How is this possible, I understand they have used a smaller and ligther voice coil of aluminium. This increases sensitivity and lowers power handling compared to big copper voice coils. But after all, I'm building a home speaker, I will not play continuesly 200-600W, more like 1W-10W with peaks reaching maybe 100W.

So is it possible that this drivers is as good as the specs say? It's cheap aswell, everything in poland is...They are popular in polish forums, but I cant understand much of what they say about it.

Any polish guys here with expirience? Or anyone with a thought on the Polish 12" vs JBL..?

Regards, Fredrik

Use what you have.
The JBL 2204H is a superior driver.
Some enclosure specs follow.

I have the JBL 2204H. Great up to 600Hz, but after that I want a proper midrange. I also need a below 100hz subwoofer. I wonder though, if the JBL E-120 is better between 100Hz-600Hz. May not be a huge difference under 600Hz. For home use, maybe a 15" would cover bass enough between 20H-500Hz.
