Efficiency, low to mid 90's, 8 ohms.
$125 sometime around the end of the year.
Not to be a total debby downer, but to me its still kind of a high price point in a crowded market, especially with all the german alnico drivers being poured out right now. I'm not sure I see anything that sets it apart other than the badge.
for proper decision , you still need to hear them instead to see them

i understand that, but honestly, do you think they'll go toe to toe with a pair of alnico 8" magnetfabrik dortmund drivers?

just joking
you can't hardly find anyone ( not just on DiyA ) who is caring less for any new FR spk
except Sonido - they're dirt cheap for their quality ;
anyway - I have more than enough old AlNiCo ( and ferrite ) junk ........ RCA , Iskra , Lorenz , Philips , Cabasse , EV , Foster , Saba , RFT , ITT , Scan Speak ......

When I was starting out with DIY, in the mid 90's, I don't remember a lot of choice with decent full range speakers, especially affordable one's. I see a crowded market as a good thing for some different choices. I think it's important to keep really good bargain choices out there, especially to entice young aspiring audiofools into the sport.
I think Nelson's work in this area is tremendous to all ages.

I see a crowded market as perhaps crowding out some really excellent smaller mfgs. I'll try and hold judgment on the new driver, but I saw the exotica as a mediocre "me too" from a big company with a lot of clout. Maybe this is what we need, with the unknown quantity that is fostex.

I can say as a "younger audiophool", that without Nelson providing so much inspiration, I would probably have lost interest in the hobby. It's the intellectual curiosity, great people, and amazing sound that's kept me around.
CHEERS!

Reminds me of the German Intertechnik junk that flooded the DIY game 10 years earlier, takes 5 to 10 to get briefed on the state of affairs.
To pardon my English. Hello Nelson I am of Spain. Gustaria to know to me if they are possible to be obtained to the amplifiers of First Watt through distributor of Pass labs in Spain? Thanks and greetings
I have been very content listening to my X1, DIY Ono, X350 and Thiel 6.0's. I haven't DIY'ed anything since my turntable so I have some ants in my pants. Anything higher power to drive my Theils coming down the road? I am a patient Guy.

Cookies? Possibly Vanilla Amp Kipferl, if someone managed to convert grams and milliliters into cups and spoons... 😉
