7591's in the Simple SE

I just ordered some 7591-S tubes for my Simple SE. After I ordered them, I examined the pinouts, and it seems to differ from the EL34, which I know works in this amp. Later, I realized the 7591 is a tetrode, and the 34 is a pentode.

Can I use this tube, or any tetrode for that matter, in this amp?

Not unless you make socket adapters, which is a pain. Easier to get something else, 6L6GC, EL34, etc.

Generally speaking, octal power tubes with EIA base 7AC, 7S, and 8ET are pin compatible with the Simple SE.
