high res PWM module for HI-FI amplifiers (DIY)

Hello developers,
if you want to build an amplifier with very high resolution for jazz and classical music then it is now very easy with this module PWM, this also solves the PCB, I can assure you that with a pre-fiberglass board you get a sn / r-100dB.
I have attached a simple amplifier just to see the phase and the connection that is needed (very simple).
This PWM module with another type of power stage (no IR21xx) has a THD of 0.002% at 100W out (4R).🙂
forms are available at a cost of components, but when I do not know how you can buy.
We'll let you know as you may have.

Hi All,
I cecked scheme and now it is correct.
A short i put PCB with this identical scheme and measures, just for demostrate that it work perfectly and stable, sure, it possible connect this modulator at professional power stage (not IR21xx) for very professional performances.
but with this simple low cost scheme i listen with very surprise in definition of sound.
With this scheme,modulator is capable di clip at (vcc rail-700mV) ,super nais efficiency!🙂

yes,but ops! not see 82R in series at capacitors,sorry.🙂
modulator is very stable also at bridge up to 1Kw (8R).
but point of force is resolution/noise,very good as A-b class.

Hi, it means the output power bandwidth of amplifier is not independent of load impedance connected. It will give different response with different loads, because the outer loop does nothing for audio, all it does is for dc-offset.

sorry I said yes, dc sense for autoffset but also audio pass in this FB.
Input FB2 is FET gate,(for this reason not have cx on res).
to 81 bas. PSRR is discrete on this simple amplifier,not for audiophile but work quiet at power. I show this only for connection of PWM,this is very top audio quality,not simple with word explain it. custom chip use for symmetric perfect triangle wave low noise,with 45 ns of conversion time.
on this scheme gain loop close at 27 dB.
Sure,you can develop a better stage with this modulator also.

N.B. exist other amplifier with this modulator on true hi-fi range top quality with very high performances as A-B class.

I repeat that present a high resolution modulator not perfect amplifier.
amp scheme is a classic simple IR21xx applications but sufficient to listen very difference of sound.
i think with this modulator is easy develop a good amplifier with high resolution on hi-band of sound (tipycal problem of other amplifiers).

concept is simple,problem is triangle wave,this not use opamp for integration.
also comparator is important,ultra fast is good but pwm include full harmonics.
Not simple a high-end modulator.🙂
amp with this modulator have very low IMD and harmonics at output.
Also is not simple high percentage of modulation. this is perfect testable on this simple amplifier (output up to vc rail-700mV) is the best efficiency.

Hi, sorry for bad html code😛
There are many designs who dont use opamps for integration. i agree comparator should be good and fast,
but what about high ripple current due to such a high capacitor at output.😕, it will cause lot of thermal issues with capacitor also.

capacitor value is 680nF not 680uF 🙂 sorry,I digit error.
 
Hi,
I show also this amplifier (it is on audiopower.it) with very big discount in KIT.
Then is possible solder socket for modulator and use it for test because (from modulator to out) is the scheme post in this thread incluse protections.
Also see a very small heatsink for 300w (this amp have 96% of efficiency) thank the modulator. (at clip loss only 700mV from vcc rail).
Very low price I think is for very big quantity for commercial use, not because poor amp.
