Can anyone tell me of an analog electronic crossover for hi fi use ? i only find for pro use like beringher or for car audio
The Behringers are probably a good starting point. Otherwise have a search for the thread on the Hypex AS2.100 which is a two amplifier / crossover plate amp.
Rod Elliott of ESP has a circuit design and PCB if you don't mind building your own:

i need it to be analog cause i will connect it between the tube preamp and the amps. Wont i have problems with the behringer impedance ?
DEQX HDP-3 (although it is digital, it should be able to resolve any conflict it might have with your amps).
Be prepared to be wallet-raped though, RRP is US$3,995.00

Passlabs has a very good analog XO. Firstwatt will soon have a simplier one.
There are a couple threads here about building your own variation on the Firstwatt.

I'm happy with my Marchand analog active crossover. I use the XM-9. No noise and clean sound at a reasonable price.

Ditto on the Marchand
I have been using a model XM-16-3-Deluxe for about eight years.
Truely superb, and Phil will stand behind his products 110%

Marchand certainly has good support. I sold my XM9 because as the system got better i could start to hear a veil that it was introducing into the system.
After that i started looking for less intrusive XOs. The LC PLLXO i find very interesting. Be nice to find a diy source for the inductors.

Both the mindsp and the hypex solutions are digital XO solutions and not analog, correct?
Marchand is the only high quality one I know of. Some great ones have been built. I wish I had the time and skill to do one myself.

Hi Dave,
have you had a look at my synergy active crossover blog page and thread? I haven't progressed any further as yet, still have some parts to buy before I can actually build one. I've been working on the speaker project whilst the two year old has been away on a Holiday. Routers, tung oil and two year olds aren't a good combo, so had to make the most of the time without her 🙂
The design idea was to get what is as close as possible to an LC PLXXO without having to use real inductors. Of course it still has buffers as well, so it isn't quite the same as a straight PLXXO but you get the idea 🙂
Tony.

I should have posted that I know of and heard.
Thanks for those links! Any updates on if anything is available. I assume these will be pretty expensive considering what pass amps cost.

Just use the analog input. Only difference is that there will be an extra AD conversion.

That is my point they do all the processing in the digital realm.
Some others are truely analog and there is no AD DA conversion.

The only con as I see it is the extra AD conversion.
Pros are, variable slopes, delay, eq, and so forth...
Ofc, it depends a lot on what one really need.
The Ground Sound site looks to offer some interesting products.
Surprised there isn't more of this stuff around for the DIY field, given that the only disadvantage in going active is cost.
