Dear all friends
I love music, I have technical knowlege to build an amp i have not ability to buy an expensive amp.i canot find proven good sound amp circuit diagram,i like clean strong vocal and silky trebles.if any friends have such type of amps circuit diagram please send me that. it wll be very kind of you if u responce.and send schematic diagram by this forum or send by my e-mai. my address is atahak@yahoo.com

Sonically this amp does all you are looking for... and more.

Thanks mooly I think this will be the best for me because of your confident .thanks again. very soon i will start to build this with your given pattern layouts. at first i will try with IRF540 and IRF9540 for power device

Andrew is correct, to use IRF's would mean a redesign... it won't work correctly with them.
Laterals are not the cheapest devices, but compared to the overall cost it's not such a huge penalty... and the results are well worth it.
Thanks for advice 2Sk and and 2SJ (HITACHI) serise are not easely avaiable in our country but hope i can manage it.

There are others that should be suitable,

The devices with 16 amp rating are "double die", which are two FETs in parallel in one package. I haven't used these... the only difference is the input capacitance (gate) would be double that of a single device.
Also look at Exicon/profusion
Lateral Mosfet
again doubles and singles.

hi mooly
Are you have see the "TUMOS" desined by Doede Douma.highbrid amp.
what u think about amp.he tell that the vocal sound is very nice.

Mooly, I thought you also tried a variation of your amp with the IRF devices and reported some initial impressions. Did you manage to get this to sound upto a satisfactory level?

I did have a play around,

but never built the amp up fully for serious listening tests.
The lateral design is fully tested and trouble free.

Haven't seen that one 🙂 Googled it... will have a read later.

hi Mooly
Here is Tumos TUMOS, the MOSFET current amp modul with real Tube sound
I expect your valueable coments

Hi,
Thanks for the link.
The TUMOS is a different concept really, a buffer with a voltage gain under unity. I'm sure it sounds OK... it runs at a high bias current (1amp) which at -/+25 volts is 100 watts of heat for a stereo pair. You still need something in front of it to give the voltage gain needed though.
The Profet amp is another, (large 46mb download)

All depends what you are looking for really.
I used these as a benchmark for sonic performance,
Sugden Audio: A21SE
ultimately I think my FET amp is smoother and more musical, and has the very big bonus of running essentially cold. I'm not a real fan of Class A operation tbh... yes it can give excellent results of course, although it's still as prone to most of the problems that afflict the other classes.

Hi Mooly
I am realy impresed your talking. I think your amp is really musical.so i will go for this amp. never mind i have been seen that every amp builder demand that his amp sounds good.but I examine your circuit diagrams and it says really it have something good and your confident do inspired me. thanks again.
oh another qurecity, it is posible to taste like valve sound with "TUMOS" ? what you think?

I don't know... it probably has a very unique sound, and will suit some speakers better than others due to it just being a buffer stage with a relatively high output impedance.
If you want to have a go at building my design I can offer any help or advice via this forum...
