I have a Sweet McGohan M506 (50 watt) PA. It's a 1961. This thing is in "new" condition! All caps are very nice (2) EL 34 Mullards. All XLR input. I used a XLR modified guitar cord, plugged in my Les Paul (through 2x15" Celestions) WOW! POWERFUL! However, the tones stack is just not there. Needs some mids, maybe reverb (I have tanks). Running with no componants the crunch came on just fine, (actually got downright dirty,but no warmth). Playing clean with a RP50 processor sounded beautiful (just not a fan of processors). Really want to mod this into a "personal amp", just can't find "ANY" schematics! (original or mods). Anyone ever mod one of these beasts (built like a tank!) Anyone input greatly appreciated!

Though not making tube amplifiers anymore, I believe McGohan is still located in Northbrook IL.
