Thanks.

Think you have to give more info... circuit and the context etc. Could be anything.
FIP... Finite impulse... as in reconstruction filters on DAC output etc. Maybe 🙂 or maybe not.
VP... could be anything... polarising voltage ?

I was hoping the marantz club would step forward, maybe rowemeister?
Without more specific details, nobody can help you.
From what I saw, FIR in their documents has the same meaning like in the whole electronics industry: Finite impulse response
VP can be anything... Vice-President even 🙂

Thanks... I think you're right with the fir but I still can't seem to find what vp is?
Hopefully someone here who knows marantz will let me know?
you're going to have to show us where you saw this abbreviation. circuit context matters a great deal
NO, nobody can help you! Are U happy? Thanks guys, all those cd63 posts and noboby can help me?
You could post by now the context (text, pics) where you saw that magic "VP" term but you are choosing not to...

Yes I'm happy thanks, found the answer in a more informative place. Sorry, I only post on this forum ultimately as a last resort as I can't stand all the trolls and their sarcastic, offending and damn right rude, up their own *** ego's and opinions just because somone is asking a question that to them is either 1. stupid or 2. nothing to do with crappy opamps, shonky homebrew cabinets, CD63's, cloned amps or folk pushing the crap they sell.
Sound familiar?
Are U happy?, Magic "VP", choosing not to...
Oh well, nevermind, ther's a bridge around every corner.
Three people told you that you need to give more details in order to be helped with the VP acronim, but you kept asking why nobody can help you.
That was rude...
Imagine a guy asking you "Do you know where the street is?" You stop to listen and ask "what street?". And the reply is "nobody can help me finding the street?"

I see your point, sorry.
I presumed that VP/FIR is a general Marantz terminology and someone familiar to Marantz players might know, that was all.
FIP usually stands for a crystal display.
Exactly, thanks jv!
