Sansui TU-717 question

Hi all. Can someone tell me if the dial lamps are in a type of circuit that when one burns out, it increases the voltage to the remaining three bulbs, and so forth. Thank you. John.

I have a TU-717 and the dial lamps are all wired in parallel, off of an 8V secondary winding of the transformer. Mine were burnt out so I just replaced them with white light LEDs.

How you do it? with one diode it is around 6vdc ?

I used a white light LED from Radio Shack with 220ohm in series. The LED conducts during one half-cycle of the 60Hz voltage.
I did this for all 4 lamps.
