EV themselves used that driver in their MT4 boxes
If you're not using it in a setup that requires much cone motion, I'm sure they're great. I'm sure they're great for a bass amp speaker, too, when properly high-passed.

Uh, no they didn't. The EVX150A is a 15" driver and the MT4 uses 4 18" drivers.
Just wondering if I could tune a EVX150A low enough to get some usable sub response.

The MTL4 used the small magnet 18s, not the large magnet 15s.
The EVX150A should work well in a tapped horn subwoofer for home use.

well, I remembered it all wrong then.. crow tastes best when broiled.
Don't you mean stewed ( in their own juice ) quite good if you use plenty of salt and chillie
