Don´t think i´m to critical, but is it possible that you made a 180 degrees turn
of the IRFP240 (-5V rail)?
If so, the backside is away from the heatsink... 😱
Perhaps someone else could verify this on the Shunt layout!

Hi all, got a question to the 3 DC powersupplies:
1. The output of Salas regulator is stated to be +5VDC (2 times) and -5VDC, the outputs are adjustable by three potentiometers. Ok so far!
2. The DAC board has local onboard regulators (7 pieces), based around TL431 shunt regulators. The TL431 has internal reference voltage of 2.5VDC, with the 2 pcs. 1kOhm resistors the output is set to nominal 5VDC. Ok so far!
3. The problem is that normally the input voltage of the shunt regulators should be higher than output voltage, e.g. input voltage 7VDC and output voltage 5VDC. The 2VDC would drop on the series resistor, and the TL431 shunt regulator will set the desired output voltage (5VDC) correctly.
4. So from my point of view the output voltage of Salas regulator should be increased, also the series resistors before the TL431 should be increased for stable operation. Exact values to be calculated.
Any comments?

Forom Salas shunt = 5.1-5.2v In 7R 10Ohm to Tl431 about 4.97V for DAC.
You can use Trimmer adjust Vout!

Hi,
maybe i missed something, but will there the possibility to
feed if the ad1685 with I2S? Or how to do it if i want to?
Greetings Ulf

Hi!
These are the products I sell now, thank for quanghao introduced me, with CS8414 I still have some, the product was manufactured in China and I was trying, my opinion This product is good.
AD1865N-K - this product until now I have not much, this type of AD production company in the Philippines for a long time, I was checked it also and the quality very good.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments!

Forgive my ignorance. But I remember you said multiple times USD15 per board. So I cannot quite figure out why some people pays USD60 for a full set, and some 65 USD. And in particular, one guy has to pay 65USD for 2x Salas while another pays 36 USD.
All to complicated for me, but then it is also not my business, if the buyer does not complain.....
😉

Hi Patrick
you peace of mind! I do not get extra money a member has, without doubt, they will get the admit it. But this time I do not return because my Paypal locked. So all money is not in my hands. it can only be when all the members received PCB.
There are a number of PCB was awarded to friends write me here and I do not forget one of them!
You can see as an then I will easily get more than what each individual does not?

Hi quanghao,
May i know is there any mistake to the BOM? Because at DAC End 2 schematic was using Crystal CS8414 but in the BOM you list CS8416.

As I mailed you here is the summary of my order :
1x DAC PCB
1x Salas Shunt Regulator PCB
Already paid by paypal.
As diyaudio is a public area, please don't show my real name in your general registration list. Thanks for correcting if possible
