I am very impressed with Apogee panels from a friend.
So I'm interested in OB boxes.
I have a pair of Fostex FE168EZ reserved for retro horn.
Is it possible to use these drivers in OB system ? 😕
Thanks and Merry Christmas

I have doubts because of the low QTS (0.26) and small Xmax (1.6mm).
That perhaps would force me to cut the low frequencies and then use a woofer?
That takes me away from the magic of the extended-range speaker.
I like something like the box Solovox.

If you like the sound of planars then why not build a planar, e.g. electrostatic or buy something like a Magnepan? I personally find the sound of full rangers (in open baffle or not) nothing like an electrostatic speaker.
The FE168EZ looks more like something for a horn like enclosure to get any sort of bass extension.

Years ago I have tried the excellent Manger driver in an OB.
There are of course limitation with this setup (uncontrolled low frequencies), but nevertheless I got nearly a transparent and uncoloured sound (before I tried this driver in the recommended closed box and also a horn, but was not really satisfied).
The sound of the Manger in the OB was completely different, so I thought: Why not try a "real" dipole in the first place?
This musical experience was a aha moment and my pointer to electrostatic loudspeakers.
