Interesting, I was listening to Wunderlich and Joan Sutherland in Handel's "Alcina" just the other day. What an amazing duo. There's a Wunderlich compilation available on CD but I haven't been able to find it in the states.
"Eine Weihnachtsmusik" is a recording from 1966 by Polydor. Quite a few people consider it the ultimate German Christmas LP. No surprise, Friedrich Wunderlich was simply a wonderful lyric tenor. (What a loss to the music world!) He harmonizes perfectly with his buddy Hermann Prey (baritone). A fine recording!
Just send me some further information via PM. Maybe I can chase it down here in Germany for you.
"Il Trittico" with Tito Gobbi, Giacinto Prandelli and Margaret Mas -- a 1956 recording received as a Christmas Present.
