Yes. More specifically, I have previewed different instruments, taken measurements with each one, and returned the ones that didn't stack up for whatever reason. Standard procedure for expensive instrumentation.Have you ever take measurements of equipment that you have purchased and returned it based upon measurements?
Gee, Boconnor, you were stupid enough to buy these exotic tweaks, without listening first? ;-) Or do you think that we are stupid enough to believe you?
OK then if your not convinced about the pebbles, what about the power cords? Got some great reviews about those.🙂
What prompted you to purchase such things?
Sorry, thought you got the irony and the joke.
He must have been brainwashed by the "advertising" John.
Bought any esoteric power cords lately?
836 pages! Is this a record? I've tried to keep up, but I haven't been able to read this whole thread. At some point, has anyone offered their own recipe for building decent cables? And if so, could you point me to it?
I don't have to buy any 'stinking power cords', they are given to me by grateful patrons in appreciation for the 'magic' that I do for their audio system.
Collecting magic pebbles
maybe these would be of use...

Sorry but I do not listen to lab equipment 😀
nothin' wrong at this end
correcting typos and grammmaatticcal errors on a foorruum is bad manners.. shame on you
Read the whole thing...you might pick up a few pointers...
Holm, not Holmes. Ragnar, not Sherlock. What is wrong with you? AND by the way, what sections of 'Modern Electrochemistry' should I read in detail? Second time asking.

Not lately, but I have purchased some in the past two years. Maybe your system does not resolve the very low level stuff? Maybe try a good power cable on a piece of reference gear in a highly resolving system. I was shocked as were about 5 others the first time we tried a really good power cord in a supreme quality system. The system does have to resolve and reproduce music properly of course.

EDIT--in reply to 8361, Decker's request for a cable recipe. Also, I originally linked to the wrong cable. The original cable I linked to is too thick for the plugs!
I'll be happy to! I use guitar cable and cheap, but decent quality RCA connectors. Here are links to the parts I actually use:
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=092-111
Parts-Express.com: Dayton RCAGS-ST RCA Plug Solder Type 2 Pair | RCAGS-ST rca plug rca connector audio connectors gold RCA connector
I have been very happy with the quality of the RCA plugs for the price. I actually got a bunch a few years ago when they were on an amazing deal, so I paid a lot less than the $15/4 they are going for now, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them at this price point. I think they also sell the guitar cable by the foot (didn't look too closely), but I bought a spool a few years back and I am barely half way through it, even after having made some longer runs for a sub.
Hope this is helpful!

'Magic Pebbles' are pretty far out. Designed by an Aerospace Engineer.
Yes his "thesis",
"Design of low-thrust propulsion system for interplanetary travel utilizing momentum transfer mechanisms in metal crystal bombarded by high-energy rare gas ions."

Cool!!!!
Wonder what cables he's going to use in the on-board entertainment system?

Eh yes.... what about the power cabling in the wall and the stuff that goes from the house and down the street? You might be missing some further detail unless you re-wire those links.

You don't need cables in space silly boy 😀
You are lying about an associate of mine. Please, no libel.
Me? That was directly from his website. You should be careful who you associate with.
Well I did try once![]()
Did you inhale? I once used a $50,000 spectrum analyser as an AM reciever.

Try Oyaide 1430-22awg wire.Make twisted pairs and use low cost Neutrik RCA's.Wire costs 2 euro/m(4 runs for stereo pair) and RCA's 3.50 euro/pair.Simple and a killer.
