Just wanted to say that to me transparency is supposed to sum up everything, i.e. it's a synonym of the very idea of sonic fidelity. In that sense the LT1028 is transparent, less so the LM4562.
Sorry to dissapoint you but I'm not looking for opamps.
Wait, you said the sound is bright? Meaning that of the CD player? Didn't you use the LME49720HA there? Where did you put the LM4562? Sorry, didn't have the patience to read all posts.
Anyway the LME49720HA can be bright per se..

49720 in the cdp, 4562 in the amp. Didn't sound bright until cap swaps.
So all caps to ground are decoupling, then there's the signal caps and last but not least, anything not in those 2 (decop/signal) are feedback??
There might be other feedback caps on the preamp section but the ones to play with are the 2 47uF/25v ZA'a that we identified earlier. 100uF Silmics in this position could be just the ticket 😉
Completly right in the dynamics but what is PRaT???
PRaT = Pace, Rhythm, and Timing. For a great example of this have a listen to some Naim gear.

I don't think it's a good pairing sonically. I would replace the LM4562 with something else... Then you can consider replacing all the caps again. I would try with a Browndog with 2x OPA132UA on it. It really can be a cure (for brightness as well as musicality).

Will do. Looked at them Tantalums...... bit deer! Where do you suggest silmics from??
Anyway my integrated amp has a NJM4570 and I don't dare to replace it, for fear of losing the fine tonal character it has.

I have some TL082CP's and OPA2604's laying around.... Any good??
Tants to deer, used hificollective alot but dont keep 10uf 50v.
Seriously, Tants aren't that pricey. Try eBay.
What do you need 10uF 50v for?

The OPA2604 would be nice to try.

CDP opamp signal and amp pre out.
Read about bypassing the 4562??? worth it?
where did you read this?
CDP opamp signal and amp pre out.
You dont need 50v caps in the signal path. The 10uF/25v will be fine.
