hearing double, feeling single

What is it about the Coniston that allows the addition of a 2nd driver without changing the dimensions of the cabinet? What are the tables/models that suggest this is a fine thing to do.

For instance, can one do this with other twin vent MBVR's?

Could one do this with a Suboro? (Though I recognize it would be a very very tight fit requiring some chamfering of the internal baffles and maybe dropping the front driver a tad. But physical reality aside, but especially if they fit, how would this change the dimensions of the cabinet?

Inquiring minds like to know.

I don't have much time to post lengthy replies on forums these days as I'm looking after my dad for the most part (heart-attack), so sorry for being brief:

-It was designed for 2 in the first place, but you can use one if you wish; you'll just need to footle with the damping etc. Always better to have too big than too small a cabinet. You can do something about the former.
-Not unless they were designed to be used that way.
-No.
