can anyone offer suggestions for a low power(sub 10-15W) transistor for power amp stage. possibly with a view to paralleling up multiple devices (maybe 8) to increase power output...so i guess something with Vcc>15v...
the main consideration is sound quality and power is 2nd consideration although, 30-50watts with multiple devices would be desirable, as my speakers are only 88dB/watt hehe
also i am considring using lf353 or similar for a pre amp stage.
(as ive had it with the TIP3055/2955 class AB i built from Elliots site; good as it may well be, i got too much supply noise and it was a bit too powerful on 45v supplies ---oops)

Its a false economy to skimp on power supply voltage.
I designed an amp and was amazed how quickly the transients were clipped with lower rail voltages.

sorry typo...it was +/- 45 DC
so somehow i dont think low voltage was the issue lol
up to +40/-40 VDC would be ok
