OK, I admit it, I'm stupid.
Building the F5 boards I got from CViller, (beautiful boards they are) I installed the ZTX450 and ZTX550s in each others location. I was preoccupied making sure I got them turned the correct direction, I did, then I put them in the wrong locations!!!
Doh! I should have know something was wrong when I got ~24V on the speaker output......😀 Turning the pots did nothing..... 😀
I have officially confirmed that they are dead. RIP ZTXs.
What are the odds I destroyed something else in the process, and should I order other parts as well? What can/should I check with out trying to desolder the other transistors?
TIA,
Ron

Thank you Papa,
I'm sorry I broke my toy. 🙁
I"ll try not to do it again!
I suppose it's all part of the learning process. But, I'm having fun and eventually I'll have a wonderful Amp!

That's the spirit!

P.S. Good to see a fellow Sacramentan here.
My point was that reversing those parts should not have
damaged the amp or any of its parts.

Thank you Nelson,
I was afraid of that....
I must have screwed up something else too then...
Back to the soldering iron and copper braid...! 😀 If you know what I mean
Thanks for the pep talk Steve!
