hi, i have a meridian 206 with a faulty display. it has most of the segments missing. i have removed it from the unit and searched the web for part numbers with no luck. can anyone tell me if they know where or if i can get a replacement? thanks jim

thanks for the reply, im thinking that there may be a solution, the meridian is based on a philips design so maybe i could get a display from a philips player- cd 104 or cd 430 i think? i read on the internet that the 200 transport uses the display from a philips cd 104? so may be able to find a cheap unit on that auction site? regards jim

I was thinking that there have to be some drop-in equivalents since
I am pretty sure they didn't design their own display. I have some
old Phillips players in the attic and will try to double-check.

I also sent an email and received no reply. I asked
mouser if there was an equivalent part and they
wrote and said there are no equivalents for that
configuration.

I have a couple of old Magnavox and Phillips players for
their CDM 4/19 lasers, and I am attaching pics of the
display with the model information.

Michael

Got one of those in the junkbox, same number on the pcb. Comes from a cheap philips player, the CD380. Yours if you pay the p&p. Send me a pm. Otherwise you should be able to find one for say 5 euro's or so. No guarantee mine works, as i only have the display pcb left and the player was much abused in it's days (used in a drive-in flightcase) 😀

Perfect player for that, such a cdm4 player never skipped. Could not be said for the other players we had at the time.

A CD380 example: http://www.marktplaats.nl/index.php?sref=http%3A//www.google.nl/search%3Fhl%3Dnl%26source%3Dhp%26q%3Dphilips+cd380%26meta%3D%26aq%3Df%26oq%3D&url=http%3A//audio-tv-foto.marktplaats.nl/cd-spelers/262746234-cd-speler-philips-cd380.html%3Fxref%3D1

Hello everyone.
I had the same problem with the Meridian 206DS.
I took the display of the Cambridge CD3 and carefully removed with a soldering iron from the PCB.
After installation, everything worked ok. I think that with other models of CD display appropriate if the same number of pins for the PCB.
P.S. Sorry on my English
