Hello,
This is my first post. I have question about maximum voltage (B+)for Tango XE-20S. I'm interested in 813 single ended. But, I'm not sure, I can used XE-20S for 813SE OPT. I need to run 700-900V for B+.
PS. I'm sorry about my english language is poor.

mono_plate,
About your Tango XE-20S their spec go to 1000volts max at 80mA
So at 800/900 Volts you are safe.
Good diy.
Alain.

Agree with Alain. Sure you can use XE-20S.
If I were you, I wish to go with Pete Millett's design (less microprocessor) but can not afford XE-20S budget, so think to use a pair of James 6135HS 5k/30w which is cheaper ($300 for a pair plus shipping from Taiwan).

I am thinking of using the tango XE-20S for a project that has ~830V on the transformer and about 70mA bias, Couldn't find any data on whether XE-20S can handle 800V long term or what is the safe max voltage.
Just wondering where did you find the specs that say it goes up to 1000V?
Also is this refering to the ISO-TANGO XE-20S or the orignal Tango-Hirata XE-20S
thank you so much
Nick
Hello Nick,
Sorry but I have no time to dig in my old paper documentations... (and may be I did lost some moving back to France from Canada )
but as Peter Millet using one with 800Volts to 900Volts power supply... I am still confident with the old TANGO XE-20S

The Japanese Tango were built with > 1000volts insulation. Peter won't build such a high voltage amplifier and worry about the possible failure of the output transformer.
If you want to buy a new version, better ask the company!
Take care,
Alain.
