What is the Best Rectifier to 6C33 SE?

I would like to know whats the best full wave Russian Rectifier to 6C33 SE?
I have a bunch of 5C8S but a member told me it have current in excess.
So Iam thinking 5C3S.

How big is C1 in your power supply? How much series resistance/inductance between filter caps? If you aren't using feedback, you may need too much capacitance for a tube rectifier.

you must realize that this is huge current consumption, and big U will be wasted on rectifiers....

Vacuum is YES GO with right rectifiers. Some later TV damper diodes have 400 mA steady current capability and low voltage drop (~10 V) at this current.

I aware 6C33 need various adjusting Bias in the first 100 hours.
Would be useful to know what Bias type has better sound, Manual Bias or Autobias?

I would use fixed bias to reduce the heat under the chassis and give more flexibility.

I agree that the Cree diodes sound much better than any tube rectifier I've ever heard, but for what you're doing, I would use the 3A version.

I don't know the type but there is a Russian rectifier tube with the same shape as the 6c33, you might like that for aesthetic reasons.

Nonsense. My mercury rectifiers do 2.5A continuous and 30A peak. Soundwise comparison to Cree...sorry, they just don't fit on the same scale.

Thanks for the suggestion, they dont offer assembled bridge in four unit sets?

If I understand your meaning, as of this morning Digikey shows 891 bridge rectifiers with peak reverse voltage above 380V. That's a fair bit of choice.
