MOSFET Amplifier IRFP240/IRFP9240

I was checking the layout and I found an error sorry, R21 is 100R I can fix it is just silkscreen :) ok here we go I apologize for the inconvenience

You could also do with a re-annotation run.
I like my component numbering to go from left to right and down the pcb so they are easy to find.

on the numbering of the PCB I only identified the parts using this schematic if example we are going to locate example R49 from the schematic I can then easily see where is it :) of course this is diy I do for my own service sort like a manual making sure all is connections are the way it suppose to be, it wasn't easy :p I think I spend a couple of day doing that also identified the transistor leads :)

I was also making a simulation and the circuit does respond really well I only found one thing I'm not sure if that is safe if I make this change but the THD was too high I think and I replace R21 and R22 to 65 ohms and the THD went down a lot here is the image of the simulation with 133 mVp sine to a 8 ohms load the THD is about 0.002% output 2.517W for easy listening soft music :) I mean this are my finds I'm not an expert but I'm learning ;)

one question is it safe to change R21 and R22 to 65 ohms ? if not then I will just fallow the schematic as it is :)

Juan

Apex's sch breaks the most usual "code" for labeling components on a sch.
But there are many "codes" and some don't adopt any logical pattern.
Nigel's code
I like my component numbering to go from left to right and down the pcb so they are easy to find.
is the most common. But it is not universal.
And when transfered to the PCB layout, it all falls apart because component placement has nothing to do with the label attached to it.

I think he has mention that only goes with IRFP250 and IRFP9240 on the Apex HV23 I wouldn't change them and I have really good results on the simulation besides they are cheaper than BJT about $2.19 for IRFP240PBF-ND and $2.67 for IRFP9240PBF-ND at the moment of this writing, :) also one more note to add I think if I'm not wrong, I can change only the 2SC2240 for KSC1845 also the complement KSA992 because the 2SC2240 are hard to find and I really don't trust EBay that much :p lol and at least the 2SA1013 and 2SC2383 they are plenty of those :)

IRFP260N

Hello, mr. mile

can use N-mosfet only with this schematic?? i find a lot Irfp260N from scrab.
it's look more powerfull with IRFP260N(300watt).
Can you suggest which schematic using N-mosfet(irfp260N) for PA??
Thank you.
